Track & Field Concludes Regular Season at Tryon Mid-Winter Invitational

TRYON, N.C. -- The Winthrop University track and field teams wrapped up the 2025-26 regular season at the Tryon Mid-Winter Invitational. Final results can be found HERE.
IN THE FIELD 
  • Faith Wood took home the triple jump title with a mark of 11.89m, just shy of her personal best of 11.91m and returned on day two to jump a personal best of 5.41m in the long jump
  • Kennedi Sanders secured a third place finish in the triple with a leap of 11.45m
  • Boyd Brackett locked in a top-ten finish in the shot put with a throw of 13.95m, just off his personal best of 13.96m
  • Carina Fiorucci cleared a height of 3.20m in the pole vault to finish 6th overall
ON THE TRACK 
  • Aiden Carrier secured the first personal best on the track with a time of 4:37.42 in the men's mile
  • Kayah Marques finished third in the women's mile with a time of 5:04.12 to move to No. 3 in school history
  • In the same event, Anna Conrad locked in a top-ten finish with a overall time of 5:10.80
  • Jordan Bailem finished 7th in the 60m hurdle finals with a time of 9.54
  • Kevin Brown finished 4th in the 60m dash finals setting a new season-best of 6.88
  • The top-ten finishes continued in the men's 400m dash as Tristen Patterson crossed the line in 4th, setting a season-best time of 49.60
  • Darrell Price set a new personal-best in the 400m dash to secure a top-ten finish
  • Mitchell Hill moved to No. 4 all-time in school history in the men's 800m with a 5th place finishing time
  • Kayah Marques doubled back to finish 7th in the women's 800m with a time of 2:18.30, which now ranks fifth in school history
  • The Eagles put three runners in the top 10 of the men's 200m dash in Kevin Brown (3rd), Tristen Patterson (4th), and Shane King (7th)
  • Griffin McNeish took home 7th in the men's 3000m run with a personal best time of 8:46.06
  • Anna Conrad brought home a runner-up finish in the women's 3000m run with an overall time of 10:21.89
NEXT UP
The Eagles will compete at the Big South Indoor Championships at Tryon International on Feb. 27-28
