Asheville, N.C. – Winthrop captured a pair of all-conference honors and set a new school record on the third and final day of the 2025 Big South Outdoor Track And Field Championships on the campus of UNC Asheville.

Top Performances
2nd Place
- The men's 4x400m relay team consisting of Kendale Cooke, Jurnii Lucas, Kevin Brown, and Shane King shattered the previous school record by over five seconds to finish runner-up, racking in an all-conference honor
- This is Winthrop's first all-conference placement in this event since 2023, when the Eagles finished in 3rd
3rd Place
- Ian Gresham's third place finish in 14.68 seconds in the men's 110m hurdles, garnering him an all-conference honor
- He becomes Winthrop's first all-conference honoree in this event since Keary Simms in 2011
- This is the second all-conference placement of his career
Other Highlights
- The men's 4x100m relay team consisting of Shadrach Nvodjo, Reggie Grant, Brown, and Jonquez Webb took home 4th with a season-best time of 41.01
- The women's 4x100m relay team consisting of Amaiya Whitlock, Katlyn Young-Coleman, Raven Verner, and Jade Reese finished 4th with a season-best time of 46.78
- Nvodjo finished 7th in the men's high jump with a leap of 1.87m while Jaden Mathieu was 8th with a season-best jump of 1.87m
- Wathen Montgomery was 6th with a time of 15.47 while Ryen Ridgill placed 8th with a time of 16.09 in the men's 110m hurdles
- Lucas secured 8th place in the men's 400m dash in a time of 50.02
- In the men's 100m dash, Brown finished 4th with a personal best time of 10.53 while Webb placed 5th with a time of 10.56
- Running a season-best 12.12, Verner locked up 6th place in the women's 100m final
- In the men's 400m hurdles Lucas was 4th with a season-best time of 54.33 while Montgomery placed 6th with a time of 56.99
- The women's 400m hurdles had Sydney Yarema place 7th with a personal best time of 1:06.37 while Ariana Washington was 8th with a time of 1:14.14
- Briana Breau finished 4th in the women's javelin with a mark of 39.75m while Erica Tobin was 8th with a mark of 35.92m
- Brown blasted his way to a new PR in the men's 200m dash in 21.24 placing him 4th overall
- Reese finished 6th in the women's 200m final in a time of 25.02
- The relay team of Maya Flynn, Alexandra Cameron, Michaela Hayes, and Reese brought home 7th in the women's 4x400m relay with a time of 4:00.64
- In the women's pole vault, Flynn finished 8th with a season-best mark of 3.12m
- In the women's high jump, Yarema posted a season-best leap of 1.46m, placing 8th
