Eagles Post Several Impressive Performances On Second And Final Day Of WuPax Invite Saturday

Rock Hill, S.C. – Winthrop posted several impressive performances to conclude day two of the WUPax Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

Top Performances

On The Track
  • Women's 4x100 of Amaiya Whitlock, Katlyn Young-Coleman, Raven Verner and Jade Reese finished first among the three competing as it edged out Johnson C. Smith by 0.02
  • The 4x100 women's squad turned in a time of 47:27, which is a season-best (breaking previous mark of 49.05
  • In the women's 100m hurdles, Jordan Bailem took 3rd in her first appearance in the event at the collegiate level
  • In the same event Kendall Crossley set a PR with a time of 16.28
  • In the men's 100m final, Jonquez Webb edged out Kevin Brown
  • Webb and Brown posted the same time of 10.62, a PR for Webb
  • Shadrach Nvodjo set a PR in the 100 with a time of 10.93 while Gresham did as well with a time of 11.08
  • The men's 4x100 also set a season-low, posting a time of 41:51 set by the combination of DeAngelo Brooks, Nvodjo, Brown and Webb
  • Kendale Cooke and Justin Powell finished second and third respectively in the men's 400m
  • Alexandra Cameron set a PR in the women's 400m with a time of 1:00.20, which is 1.11 faster than her previous mark
  • Ian Gresham took first place in the men's 110m hurdles with a PR of 14.99
  • Reese finished 2nd in the 100m with a PR of 12.14 while finishing 3rd in the 200m (25.80)
  • Daren Hinds finished second in the men's 1,500m with a time of 4:02.05 and Connor Magill was third with a PR of 4:03.81
  • Chadwick Sisson also set a PR in the 1,500m with a time of 4:11.47, over three seconds improvement from previous time
  • Shane King finished 2nd in the men's 200m while Jurnii Lucas was 4th
