Columbia, S.C. – Winthrop competed in the final day of the 2025 Big South Indoor Track & Field Championships, capturing three All-Big South honors, for a grand total of five over the past two days.

Top Performances

Champions (Day 2)

• Junior Maurion Jamison won the men's triple jump with a mark of 14.58m, garnering him an all-conference honor in this event
• Jamison repeats as champion in this event with the victory

Runner-Up (Day 2)

• Senior Kevin Brown was second in the men's 60m dash with a time of 6.81, earning him an all-conference honor in the event
• This is the first time since 2015 (Carlo Raiteri) that an Eagle has won an all-conference honor in the men's 60m dash

3rd Place (Day 2)

• The men's 4x400 relay team took home an all-conference honor with a mark of 3:14.86
• The team consisted of freshman Kendale Cooke, junior Jurnii Lucas, Brown and sophomore Shane King
• This is the second straight year the Eagles have won an all-conference honor in this event

Other Highlights (Day 2)

• Senior Ian Gresham, freshman Wathen Montgomery and sophomore Ryen Ridgill all placed in the Top 8 of the men's 60m hurdles
• In the men's 60m dash, sophomore Elijah Jenkins, senior Jonquez Webb, and freshman DeAngelo Brooks all finished sixth, seventh and eighth, respectively
• Brown also finished sixth in the men's 200m dash with a time of 21.70
• Junior Jaden Mathieu and graduate student Kenneth Williams Jr. placed in the Top 8 of the men's high jump
• Junior Faith Wood and sophomore Jaelyn Lynch were also in the Top 8 in the women's triple jump with a mark of 11.19m
• Freshman Maya Flynn finished eighth in the women's pole vault with a toss of 2.90m
• Wood and Lucas were both named to the All-Academic Team
