Rock Hill, S.C. - The Winthrop baseball program has announced a series of events as part of the season-opening series with the Rutgers Scarlet Knights this weekend.

The first event will be the First Pitch Dinner presented by Founders Federal Credit Union. The dinner will take place at the Rock Hill Sports and Events Center Thursday night with a pre-meal social at 6 p.m. with dinner to start an hour later. The dinner will feature a meal catered by Melanie Rowe and drinks.

With the first pitch scheduled the next day at 4 p.m., the program will also host a golf tournament at 8 a.m. at the Waterford Golf Club. Participants will enjoy a round of golf and receive a polo and lunch.

The final event will be an Alumni Tailgate on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Winthrop Ballpark. The tailgate will begin an hour prior to the first pitch.
