ROCK HILL, S.C. -- Winthrop University baseball relief pitcher
Harrison Wilson was tabbed as the Big South Conference Relief Pitcher of the Week, for the week of May 4, the conference office announced on Monday.
This marks the first time since Colten Rendon in 2019 that an Eagle reliever has won the award twice in one season.
Wilson was virtually untouchable out of the bullpen last week, earning Relief Pitcher of the Week honors after logging 4.0 innings across two appearances. The right-hander's week was headlined by a three-inning save against Asheville on Friday night, where he surrendered just one hit while striking out three batters to secure the victory. It marked Wilson's fifth three-inning save of the season and sixth save overall, as he finished the week holding opposing hitters to a .091 batting average against while posting a dominant 0.50 WHIP.
