Cooke and Hill Highlight Eagles at Tryon Winter Classic

TRYON, N.C. -- School records from Mitchell Hill and Kendale Cooke highlighted the Winthrop men's and women's track and field teams' performances at the Tryon Winter Classic on Friday and Saturday. 
IN THE FIELD 
  • Kennedi Sanders recorded a mark of 11.73 meters in the women's triple jump, tying for second in the Winthrop indoor record book. 
  • Raffael Craig II posted 4,124 points in the men's indoor heptathlon, moving into second all-time in program history. 
  • Katlyn Young-Coleman finished with 2,764 points in the women's indoor pentathlon, ranking sixth in school history. 
  • Sydney Yarema followed with 2,705 points in the pentathlon, good for seventh in the Winthrop record book. 
  • Kendall Crossley added a score of 2,583 points, moving into eighth all-time in the pentathlon standings. 

ON THE TRACK 
  • Mitchell Hill set a school record in the men's 1,000 meters, running a 2:30.58, elasping the old time that stood since 2012. 
  • Kendale Cooke broke the program record in the men's 600 meters with a time of 1:21.65. 
  • Anna Conrad recorded a 10:12.36 in the women's 3,000 meters, ranking third in Winthrop indoor history.
