Kelton Talford (MBB) have been named the Comporium Student-Athletes of the Month for the month of February.
In the second month of 2025, Porter played 215 minutes, shot 41% from the field and 95% from the free throw line, grabbed 76 rebounds, and scored 91 points. She was named the first ever recipient of the Big South WBB Newcomer of the Year and garnered 1
st Team All-Big South honors after a regular-season in which she finished second in the conference in conference games only in free throw percentage with .908. Porter played in all 29 regular-season games, starting 14 of them. She is the first Eagle to garner first team honors since Erica Williams in 2017
Talford concluded February having played 202 minutes, shooting 70% from the field and 66% from the free throw line, grabbing 89 rebounds, and scoring 114 points. He was named 1
st Team All-Big South for a third straight year. At the end of the regular-season, Talford led the Eagles in scoring at 15.8 ppg and ranked 4th in the Big South. Talford led the conference in field goal percentage (.644) and was third in rebounding (7.7). His .644 field goal percentage ranked 6th in the nation. This season he became just the second Eagle in program history to amass 1,800 career points and 900 career rebounds. Talford is currently third all-time in scoring and third in rebounds in program history.
