An Elite Philanthropic Society to Drive The Next Era of Eagle Athletics
Winthrop Athletics is proud to announce the launch of the
Winthrop Impact Network- a distinguished philanthropic giving society established to support and elevate Winthrop's 16 NCAA Division I programs and nearly 300 student-athletes.
In the new era of college athletics, it is critical now more than ever to generate revenue to provide Winthrop student-athletes with the resources and opportunities needed to compete for Big South championships and advance in the NCAA tournament. Winthrop Impact Network members will have an elite level of direct impact on the future of Winthrop Athletics.
The Winthrop Impact Network will drive strategic priorities including:
- Capital projects and facility enhancements (premium space upgrades, new video and ribbon boards, sound system improvements and other fan experience upgrades)
- Scholarship and revenue sharing opportunities that empower student-athletes to excel in the classroom and in competition
- Enhancements to the student-athlete experience, including a nutrition fueling station, NIL initiatives and other developmental resources
"Honoring our championship tradition means continually raising our standards and striving for new heights," said Chuck Rey, Director of Athletics. "The Winthrop Impact Network initiative is a bold and decisive step to secure the resources necessary to propel Winthrop to that next level."
Membership in the Winthrop Impact Network starts at $25,000 and can be pledged over a period of up to five years. Gifts may be directed to any of the areas of need of Winthrop Athletics (Capital Projects, Sport Specific Funds, Scholarships, Revenue Sharing initiatives and more). While this commitment is purely philanthropic, members may enjoy unique stewardship opportunities throughout the year such as invitations to exclusive receptions, away game travel experiences, naming opportunities and more.
"We've built a tremendous amount of momentum the past few years and there's never been a more exciting time to support Winthrop Athletics," said
Tommy Henry, Sr. Development Officer for Athletics. "The Winthrop Impact Network gives our most passionate supporters the opportunity to have an elite impact on our future and take us to new heights. We will be better equipped to execute key initiatives and sustain long-term success for our student-athletes and teams".
