Winthrop Athletics Celebrated Read Across America Week in early March with Local Rock Hill Elementary Schools

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Winthrop Athletics proudly joined classrooms across the community to celebrate Read Across America Week, reinforcing the importance of literacy while connecting with young Eagles fans throughout Rock Hill.

Throughout the week, student-athletes and staff visited local elementary schools to read with students, share their love of books, and encourage the next generation to dream big both inside and outside the classroom.

One of the featured stops included a visit to Ebenezer Avenue Elementary School, where students and teachers were surprised with Eagles Activity Books and a special appreciation breakfast for faculty and staff.

The breakfast was made possible through the continued partnership with Bojangles, whose support helped thank the educators who dedicate their time to inspiring young learners every day.
