- Junior Maurion Jamison finished eighth in the men's triple jump with a mark of 14.03m
On The Track
- Senior Daren Hinds captured the men's 3000m run at the Liberty Open with a time of 8:29.28
- In the men's 60m dash at the Doc Hale Invitational, senior Kevin Brown finished third with a time of 6.79
- Brown also finished seventh in the men's 200m run in Blacksburg with a time of 21.86
