Top Performances
Champions (Day 1)
- Junior Johntavia Shaw won the women's shot put
- She is Winthrop's first champion in this event since Ashley Howard in 2010
Runner-Up (Day 1)
3rd Place (Day 1)
- Graduate student Kenneth Williams, Jr. placed 3rd in the men's long jump with a leap of 7.04m
- This is the second consecutive year that Williams Jr. has taken home an all-conference placement in the long jump

Advancing To Finals
- In the men's 60m preliminaries, senior Kevin Brown (6.87), senior Jonquez Webb (6.92), sophomore Elijah Jenkins (6.94) and freshman DeAngelo Brooks (7.00) all qualified for tomorrow's finals
- With a time of 21.61 seconds, Brown also advanced to the finals of the 200m
