Rock Hill, S.C. -- Winthrop University Athletics is proud to announce a new partnership with Bojangles, the Southern restaurant brand known for its famous chicken, biscuits, and sweet tea. The collaboration will bring exciting new fan experiences and community engagement opportunities to the Winthrop Eagles' athletic programs.

As part of the agreement, Bojangles becomes the "Official Chicken, Biscuit and Tea of Winthrop Athletics".

Bojangles will receive prominent brand visibility across Winthrop Athletics events and venues. Fans can also look forward to special giveaways, exclusive offers, and Bojangles-themed moments that bring extra flavor to the game day experience.

A key feature of the partnership is the introduction of the Bojangles Community Corner inside the Winthrop Coliseum. This dedicated fan area will feature Bojangles-branded seat covers, banner signage, and a branded backdrop for fan photos and engagement. The Bojangles Community Corner will highlight and recognize a "Hometown Hero" such as first responders, military members, educators, non-profit leaders and others at each home game.  Local non-profits and other organizations can also request complimentary tickets to the Community Corner, courtesy of Bojangles.  Organizations can nominate a hometown hero and/or request complimentary tickets in the Bojangles Community Corner by visiting winthropeagles.com/Bojangles.

Another highlight of the partnership will be Winthrop Takeover Day, a unique community event where select Winthrop student-athletes will work a drive-thru or register shift at an area Bojangles restaurant. Fans will be invited to participate in mini games, autograph opportunities and more with the players, coaches, and Big Stuff the mascot.  

In celebration of literacy and learning, Winthrop Athletics and Bojangles will also team up for Read Across America Week. During this initiative, Winthrop Eagle representatives will visit classrooms across Rock Hill and surrounding areas to read stories and share their personal educational journeys with students.

Each participating classroom will receive book giveaways to help expand their libraries, a Bojangles treat for teachers as a token of appreciation for their dedication, and custom "Eagles Love to Read" materials.  The program underscores both organizations shared commitment to education, community engagement, and inspiring young learners.

The partnership between Winthrop Athletics and Bojangles expresses both organizations' dedication to fostering local pride and enhancing the college sports experience for fans throughout the Rock Hill community and beyond.
