ROCK HILL, S.C. -- The Winthrop University baseball team will see its fall slate come to an end on Saturday when they welcome in a feathered foe, Georgia Southern, on Nov. 1 at 1:00 p.m. at Founders Field.
The matchup will feature a full nine-inning game from the friendly confines of Founders Field, with admission free and open to the public. The Eagles return a veteran core mixed with a promising group of newcomers, giving fans an early look at how the roster is shaping ahead of the 2026 campaign.
This will be the first matchup between the two squads since 2009, where the Winthrop Eagles got the best of the Georgia Southern Eagles in Rock Hill, 5-2, in nine innings
