Rock Hill, S.C. – Winthrop head women's and men's cross country coach Ben Paxton announced the schedule for the 2024 season.
 
The Eagles have six guaranteed races that include the 41^st annual Winthrop/Adidas Invitational and hosting the NCAA Southeast Regionals on Friday, Nov. 15.
 
"We are very excited to host the NCAA Southeast Region this year!" Paxton said. "To be able to race against three-time defending NCAA Champions NC State (Women) and a host of All-Americans will bring a great atmosphere to the Winthrop Farm in November! Our annual Adidas/Winthrop Invitational will serve as a great tune up at the end of September. We are excited to have our older athletes as well as a slew of newcomers be able to compete on such a high level at home."
 
Winthrop opens the season Friday, Aug. 30 at the Covered Bridge Open at Appalachian State in Boone, N.C. and for the rest of the season will compete in the state of South Carolina. The Eagles head to Conway on Sept. 15 for their second meet, the Chanticleer Classic at Coastal Carolina. The Eagles will then return home for the annual Winthrop/Adidas Invitational (Sept. 28). Winthrop concludes the regular-season by traveling to USC Beaufort to compete in the Sand Shark Invitational (Oct. 12).
 
The Big South Conference Championship will be held in North Charleston, S.C. on Friday, Nov. 1 on the campus of Charleston Southern University.
