ROCK HILL, S.C. -- The Winthrop University men's and women's cross country teams competed at the 2025 Big South cross country championships on Friday at Longwood University. Both teams placed seventh out of nine total teams with graduate student
Jason Krell and sophomore
Anna Conrad leading the charge for both squads. Additionally, Krell and Conrad were both named to the 2025 Big South All-Academic Team. Both teams finished where they were originally projected from the pre-season polls.

- Krell and Conrad's All-Academic Team recognition is the first time either of them have garnered the award in their careers
- Mitchell Hill's 26:59 was good for a new personal best
- Both teams steadily worked their way through the field, improving their team position
