Spencer Smith released the 2024 schedule that includes nine home games. The Eagles will host two exhibition games and then have seven regular season games on Eagle Field.
The Eagles return two of the top three scorers from a season ago and have seven starters returning along with 14 players that saw significant minutes.
It all begins with two home exhibition games to prepare for a 16-game regular season slate. The first is Aug. 9 vs. Appalachian State and the second is Aug. 13 vs. USC Lancaster.
The regular season begins on the road on Aug. 18 with a trip to Charleston, S.C. to take on The Citadel. Eagles will also travel to S.C. State (Aug. 29), Queens (Sept. 1), Wofford (Sept. 5), and Western Carolina (Sept. 15).
The regular season home slate begins on Aug. 21 against Southern Wesleyan. Other non-conference home games include VMI (Sept. 12) and ETSU (Sept. 19).
Big South Conference play begins Sept. 25 with a trip to Charleston Southern. The Eagles will also face Longwood (Oct. 2), Presbyterian College (Oct. 11) and Gardner-Webb (Oct. 23) on the road. The home slate for league play begins Sept. 28 with High Point and also includes UNC Asheville (Oct. 5), USC Upstate (Oct. 16) and Radford (Oct. 19).
The Big South Conference Tournament returns to the SportsPlex in Matthews, N.C. The single-elimination tournament will feature the top six teams in the final regular standings. The quarterfinals will be held Saturday, Nov. 2 followed by the semifinals on Thursday, Nov. 7, and the Championship contest will be on Sunday, Nov. 10. Each match of the championship will be carried on ESPN+. The winner of the tournament will receive the Big South Conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
