Rock Hill, S.C. – Winthrop sophomore
Mason Tucker was tabbed the Big South Conference Men's Golfer of the Week, announced by the league office Thursday afternoon.
Tucker earned the honor with his T10 finish at the Cutter Creek Intercollegiate. He posted a 54-hole total of 213, which is his collegiate-low. Tucker opened the event with a 2-under 70 and was sitting T3. After a second round 74, he tied his season-low round with a 69 (-3) to secure a Top 10 finish. He tied for the fourth-lowest score on the par-4 holes (-2) and finished with 10 birdies.
This was the third conference weekly honor for Tucker this season. He is the first Eagle to garner the honors three times in a single-season since Zach Seabolt was named five times in 2014-15.
