Park finished in the Top 20 seven times while having four Top 10 and three Top 5 finishes in his first season. He posted a collegiate-low 6-under 54 hole score as he finished second at the Wofford Invitational. On the year he was under par in 6-of-10 events played.
This marks the fifth time in the history of the program an Eagle has been named Freshman/Rookie of the Year. Head Coach
Kevin Pendley earned the honor in 1994, Matt Mondorff in 2000, Matt Johnson in 2001 and Zach Seabolt in 2014.
Lamar played in eight of 10 events this year and posted a collegiate-best stroke average of 72.58. In the spring alone he finished in the Top 16 in three events. He matched his collegiate-low round of 4-under in the opening round of the Peoples Championship at Sea Palms where he went on to finish tied for 12
th.
Eubanks earned all-conference honors for a second straight season and is third on the team in stroke average (72.60). Eubanks finished T2 at the Big South Championship, his best finish and first time earning All-Championship Team honors. Prior to the championship, his best finish of the season was T11 at the Lake Jovita Invitational as he was 5-under for the event. Eubanks set a collegiate-low in the final round of the Lake Jovita Inv. with a 6-under 66.
Kucia joined Park on the All-Freshman Team after a strong first season in which he was fourth on the team in stroke average (73.55). Kucia was the Big South Golfer of the Week on Oct. 23 and after a T9 finish at the Furman Invitational. Kucia finished the event at 1-over, which is his collegiate 54-hole low.
Lutz was named to the All-Academic Team for a second straight season. The junior out of Mt. Pleasant, S.C. competed in five events on the year with a season-best finish of T36 at the Bryan National Collegiate.
This is the first season since 1991 in which the Eagles had three players earn all-conference honors and just the third time in the program's history.
