Johntavia Shaw at the App State Open over the weekend highlighted the end of the 2024 outdoor regular-season campaign for the Eagles.

- Sophomore Johntavia Shaw continued her winning ways as she won the women's shot put (13.37m) and discus throw (43.69m) and added a 4th place in the hammer throw as well.
- Freshman Brianna Breau won the women's javelin throw with a toss of 33.48m.

- Winthrop recorded 18 top six finishes in a meet that saw over 10 teams compete including Big South foes GWU, Radford and Presbyterian.

Next up for the Eagles after a week off will be the Big South Conference Outdoor Championships in High Point, N.C. on the campus of High Point University on Monday thru Wednesday May 6-8.
