Faith Wood's school record in the triple jump highlighted a successful Saturday at the USC Outdoor Open for the Eagles.

In The Field
- Shaw's personal best throw of 47.87m in the women's discus was the top performance for the Eagles.
- Shaw also finished 5th in the women's hammer throw in 60.14m.
- Graduate student Ambar Nunez-Gomez was 5th in the hammer with a season-best toss of 51.15m followed by a 8th in the women's discus.
- Wood broke her two-week old record in the women's triple jump in 11.82m for 5th place.
Miscellaneous
- The meet was held at USC under very warm conditions as competition included SEC foes USC and Tennessee as well as Big 10 member Rutgers and 25 other teams.
