LAST TIME OUT
- Winthrop last competed in the 2024 Big South Indoor Track And Field Championships from Feb. 23-24, taking home 11 All-Conference honors and setting a new school record in the 4x400 relay.
- Senior Monay James claimed All Big-South Honors with her 2nd place finish in the women's pentathlon. Her point total of 3,338 points moves her to #2 all-time in school history.
- Johntavia Shaw heaved 14.17m in the women's shot put to claim 3rd and All-Big South Honors. She narrowly missed her school record by .01m.
- Kenneth Williams Jr. finished 2nd in the men's long jump leading a 2-4-5 finish for the Eagles.

Notes
- The men, bolstered by wins from Jamison in the triple jump and the school record setting 4x400 relay team, finished 3rd overall as a team.
- This was the most points scored since 2003 and highest finish since 2003.
- The men and women combined for 11 All-Conference honors at the championship.
- All-Conference honors are earned by a Top 3 finish.
- James and Lucas were named to the Big South Indoor Track And Field All-Academic Team.
OUTDOOR SCHEDULE
The outdoor schedule includes six meets prior to the Big South Conference Outdoor Championships at High Point from May 6-8. Winthrop will travel to Charlotte, NC State, South Carolina, Georgia Tech and Appalachian State during the outdoor season. Winthrop will also host the annual Winthrop/Relays from Mar. 22-23 at the Irwin Belk Complex, which highlights the outdoor schedule and will be the only home meet of the season for the Eagles.
The Eagles start the outdoor season at the 49er Classic tomorrow and Saturday and then host the Winthrop/Adidas Relays the next weekend. Winthrop rounds out the month of March at the Raleigh Relays (Mar. 28-30).
In April the Eagles head to Columbia, S.C. for the Gamecock Invitational (Apr. 6) and will also travel to Atlanta, Ga. for the Georgia Tech Invite (Apr. 20-21) and to Boone, N.C. for the App State Outdoor Invite (Apr. 27-28) to end the regular-season.
