Eagles To Compete In Florida Last Chance Meet Friday

Rock Hill, S.C. – Coming off a weekend that saw Winthrop compete in their fourth meet of the 2023-24 indoor track and field season at the Liberty Open, the Eagles continue their campaign with a trip to the Sunshine State by competing in the Florida Last Chance Meet on Friday.

  • Sophomore Faith Wood had a leap of 11.72m in the women's triple jump to finish 3rd. Her leap is currently tops in the Big South and #2 all-time at Winthrop.
  • Sophomore Maurion Jamison finished 6th in the men's triple jump with a leap of 14.10m. This mark also leads the Big South.
  • Senior Kenneth Williams Jr. finished 5th in the men's high jump at 1.95m.
  • Freshman Jakeim Pasley was 6th in the men's long jump with a mark of 6.72m.
  • Sophomore Kevin Brown was 8th in the 400m dash with a time of 50.69.
