Rock Hill, S.C.—The remnants of Hurricane Helene have resulted in schedule changes for Winthrop Athletics events from Oct. 4-8.
The men's soccer team's home game for Friday, Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. vs. Longwood will happen as originally scheduled. However, the postponed home game with Gardner-Webb from last Saturday will now take place on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 7:00 p.m. and will replace a non-conference home game scheduled with ETSU on the same date and time.
The women's soccer team's home game scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 5 at 1 p.m. vs. UNC Asheville has been postponed and there is no make-up date. The game vs. High Point that was postponed is rescheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 3 p.m.
There are changes for the weekend road volleyball matches. Friday's (Oct. 4) match at UNC Asheville has been postponed. The away match scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 5 at USC Upstate has been switched to a home match for the Eagles against USC Upstate. The game will be on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 2 p.m. inside the Winthrop Coliseum.
