SERIES HISTORY VERSUS PRESBYTERIAN
This is the 36^th meeting between the Eagles and the Blue Hose, with Winthrop leading the series, 25-15. The two teams split their two meetings last year, with the Blue Hose winning 66-47 in Clinton on Jan. 4, 2023 while the Eagles got revenge three weeks later at home on Jan. 28, winning 59-51. The first meeting between the two teams was on Dec. 11, 1979, with Winthrop winning 80-44 at home on the way to winning the first 12 meetings. In the last 11 encounters, the two teams are practically even, with the Blue Hose holding a slight edge, 6-5. Presbyterian went 13-17 (9-9 Big South) in 2022-23.
