ROCK HILL, S.C. -- Winthrop University women's basketball junior
Amourie Porter was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team, announced by CSC on Tuesday afternoon.
Porter was the driving force for Winthrop on the floor this year, averaging 16.4 points and 7.1 rebounds per game in 29 contests during the 2025-26 season, finishing with 475 points and 206 rebounds on the year. She shot .463 from the field and .775 from the free-throw line. Porter posted six double-doubles while recording 48 steals and 12 blocks. She also dished out 57 assists on the season. She scored 20+ points nine times on the season, setting a new career-high of 27 points against Longwood. In the game against Longwood, she also passed the 1,000-point mark for her career, later getting 500 career rebounds against Presbyterian.
In order to qualify for CSC Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 GPA and have had to participate in 90 percent of the team's contests or start 66 percent of the games.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
