COLUMBIA, S.C. – Winthrop men's & women's track & field continued their 2022-23 outdoor track and field season by competing in the USC Invitational.

On The Track (Top 8 Finishes)
- On the men's side, Daren Hinds finished fourth in the 1500m run with a time of 4:01.81.
- The 4x100 relay "A" team set a school record with a time of 40.86, the second straight week Winthrop set a school record in any event. They finished eighth in this event.
In The Field (Top 8 Finishes)
- On the women's side, Johntavia Shaw finished fourth in the shot put with a mark of 12.93.
- Libby Roush, Shaw and To'Mara Carmichael each finished second, fourth and seventh in the discus throw with marks of 46.47, 45.52 and 43.38m, respectively.
- Ambar Nunez-Gomez finished fifth in the hammer throw with a toss of 52.80m.
What's Next
The Eagles return to action by competing in the Appalachian State Invitational in Boone, N.C. next Friday and Saturday.
