Winthrop Highlights
- Olivia Kemp turned in the fastest time by a Winthrop freshman since Olivia Paxton in 2016 and Jean Stroud in 2010
- Kemp finished 33rd with a time of 18:38.2 in her first collegiate 5K race
- Morgan Ruff had the second-best finish for the women at 139th with a personal-best time of 20:07.0
- Daren Hinds was the top finisher for the men's team with a 28th place finish and a time of 25:13.6
- That is a personal-best for Hinds, who slashed more than a minute off his previous best
- Hinds also posted the fastest time for an Eagle in an 8K since Theo Kahler in 2018
- Max Davis had the next best finish for the Eagles at 112th with a time of 26:47.8
- Davis set a personal-best, knocking off 27 seconds from his previous best
- There were 269 women's competitors that finished the women's gold 5K while there were 257 that finished the men's gold 8K
