Rock Hill, S.C. – Winthrop women's tennis will travel to Asheville on Friday to take on the Bulldogs before hosting the Campbell Camels on Saturday. The matches are scheduled for 2 p.m.
UNC ASHEVILLE
- Winthrop holds a 38-0 all-time record over the Bulldogs
- Asheville enters the match 7-2, dropping matches to Wofford and Kennesaw State
- Asheville has earned wins over Tusculum University, UNC Greensboro, Mars Hill, Chattanooga, North Greenville, Emmanuel and USC Upstate.
- The finished the 2019 season with a 10-9 overall record, with a 3-6 conference record
- The Bulldogs are led by Lise Gregory, who is in her 13th season as head coach.
CAMPBELL MATCHUP
- Winthrop holds a 16-8 all-time record over the Camels
- The Camels enter Thursday's match 8-2, dropping matches to Appalachian State and East Carolina
- Campbell has earned a win over Tennessee State, Belmont, Elon, North Carolina Central, Coastal Carolina, Radford and Longwood.
- The Camels will face USC Upstate before traveling to Rock Hill.
- Campbell is coming off a 13-11 overall 2019 season, with a 6-3 conference record
- The Camels are led by first-year head coach Mike Stevens
