Alisa Soloveva has been named Big South Women's Tennis Player of the Week announced by the league office Friday afternoon.
Soloveva was perfect on the court in Big South Conference competition. At No. 1 singles against UNC Asheville, she won the match before winning at No. 2 doubles with her partner
Rafaela Santos, 7-5. The senior won again at No. 1 singles against Campbell, with a 6-4, 7-6 victory. Soloveva and Santos went on to win again at No. 2 doubles.
She was most recently ranked 76
th in Division I Women's Tennis singles by the ITA.
The Eagles were slated to travel to Davidson on Saturday for a match with the Wildcats however Winthrop has suspended all athletic competition through March 30.
