ROCK HILL, S.C. – Winthrop lacrosse welcomes 17 newcomers as part of the 2020 recruiting class.
The incoming class is made up entirely of freshmen – seven midfielders, six attackers and four defenders. This class consists of players from all over the map – four players from North Carolina, the most representation from the Carolinas in a single recruiting class, seven Maryland-natives, two from Virginia and a player from Florida, Ohio, New Hampshire and Delaware.
The 17 newcomers will join the 2020 team, who did not graduate any seniors. This class also includes a set of twins, Claire and Katie Witmer. The Witmer's will be the second set of twins to play together in Winthrop Lacrosse history.
