ROCK HILL, S.C. -- Winthrop University lacrosse seniors Chloe Patterson, Gabby Pierpont and Tori Iannotti were all named in the 2026 Big South Conference All-Conference Awards, with Patterson earning Scholar Athlete of the Year, Pierpont earning Second Team All-Conference, and Iannotti being honored with All-Conference Honorable Mention, the conference office announced on Thursday. 

Patterson becomes the first Winthrop lacrosse athlete to earn the Scholar Athlete of the Year honors. 

Patterson wrapped up a four-year career as one of Winthrop's most reliable defenders, playing in 53 games played across her tenure. In her final season, Patterson started 13 of 14 games while posting a career-high 13 caused turnovers to go along with 20 ground balls. 

Pierpont started all 16 games in her senior season, helping to lead the Eagles to their first three-game non-conference winning streak with 13 goals and six assists for 19 points on 37 shots with 25 on goal. The midfielder also dominated at the draw, winning 48 draw controls while recording 20 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers. 

Iannotti led Winthrop in both goals and points in her senior season, netting 44 goals and adding 11 assists for 55 points across 16 starts. The attacker put 70 of her 83 shots on goal while converting nine free position opportunities and adding 18 draw controls and 14 ground balls on the season.
