CLINTON, S.C. -- The Winthrop University lacrosse wrapped up the regular season against Presbyterian College, falling 13-9 on Wednesday at Bailey Memorial Stadium. Despite winning the draw control battle 13-12, the Eagles couldn't overcome the home team's balanced attack. This match marked only the second time Winthrop has lost to Presbyterian.
FIRST QUARTER
- The Blue Hose took an early lead with Hannah Savage scoring the first goal at 10:47, assisted by Kate Dominick.
- Another goal was added for PC by Emily Currie at 9:49.
- Winthrop responded with Gabby Pierpont scoring at 8:19 to narrow the gap to 2-1.
- Currie extended Presbyterian's lead with a free position goal at 6:35.
