Women's Tennis Set For Midweek Matches Against Gardner-Webb, Presbyterian

Rock Hill, S.C. – Winthrop women's tennis will travel to Boiling Springs, N.C. on Wednesday to take on the Runnin' Bulldogs before hosting the Presbyterian Blue Hose on Thursday. The matches are scheduled for 2 p.m.
 
 
GARDNER-WEBB MATCHUP
  • Winthrop holds a 10-0 all-time record over the Runnin' Bulldogs
  • Gardner-Webb enters the match 5-3, dropping matches to College of Charleston, Davidson and Elon.
  • Gardner-Webb has earned wins over Radford, UNCG, Hampton, Western Carolina and North Carolina Central.
  • They finished the 2019 season with a 10-9 overall record, with a 6-3 conference mark.
  • The Runnin' Bulldogs are led by 14-year head coach Jim Corn.
PRESBYTERIAN MATCHUP
  • Winthrop holds a 12-0 all-time record over the Blue Hose.
  • PC enters Thursday's match with a 0-7 season record.
  • Presbyterian has dropped matches to Clemson, Georgia Tech, Charlotte, Elon, Western Carolina, Wofford, Georgia Southern and Chattanooga.  
  • The Blue Hose are coming off a 15-7 2019 season, with a 7-2 conference record.
  • The Blue Hose are led by first-year coach, Joel Roberts.
  • This match is the makeup of the March 4th contest that was postponed due to weather.
