Rock Hill, S.C.— Winthrop men's soccer will have five spring matches that concludes with the Manchester Cup in April.

The Eagles open up the spring slate on Saturday, Feb. 29 at 7 p.m. when they play at Newberry College. Next week the Eagles will travel to Lenoir-Rhyne for a 6 p.m. contest on Friday, Mar. 6. On Friday, Mar. 12 the Eagles will play at Wingate before having a 16 day break between games. On Saturday, Mar. 28 Winthrop will travel to Davidson for a 10:30 a.m. contest. The spring season will come to a close on April 4 with the annual Manchester Cup as the Eagles will face Gardner-Webb at 5 p.m.

Eagles are looking to build momentum off the fall season in which the team qualified for the Big South Conference Tournament. Winthrop fell 2-1 in double overtime in the opening round of the tournament, the second straight double overtime game and the fifth time in six matches the match went to overtime.

Eagles graduate seven seniors and have 12 players that saw action in the fall returning for 2020.
