2026 Schedule
Rock Hill, S.C. – Winthrop head men's soccer coach Dale Parker announced the 2026 season schedule that eight home matches and a competitive non-conference slate.
 
The Eagles begin the 2026 campaign with back-to-back home exhibitions Aug. 8 (Mercer) and Aug. 15 (Columbia College) before opening the regular season at South Florida.
 
Winthrop will host Johnson & Wales on Aug. 29 in its home opener. Following the home opener the Eagles hit the road for six consecutive games beginning with Wofford College on Sept. 1. The road swing includes non-conference stops at VMI (Sept. 5), College of Charleston (Sept. 8), and Charlotte (Sept. 15) before opening Big South Conference play at Radford on Sept. 19. The six-game road swing wraps-up with Campbell on Sept. 22.
 
The remainder of the non-conference slate includes road games at UNCW (Oct. 6), Virginia Tech (Oct. 21) and Furman (Oct. 27). Winthrop's second of two non-conference home games will be played on Oct. 13 against ETSU. The Eagles also have conference road games at UNC Asheville (Oct. 9), and USC Upstate (Oct. 31).

Winthrop's home league opener is on Sept. 29 against defending Big South champion High Point. It is the first of two straight home league games as the Eagles face Presbyterian College on Oct. 3. The Eagles will also host Longwood (Oct. 17) and Gardner-Webb (Oct. 24).
 
The 2026 schedule includes two opponents that finished in the Top 25, two that were national seeds in the 2025 College Cup, five opponents that finished ranked in their respective regions and seven that posted a winning record.
 
The Big South Conference Tournament format remains the same as the top six seeds in the league standings qualify for the championship with games being played on the home field of the higher seeds each round.
