Game Recap
  • Longwood was on the scoreboard first in the 16th minute as Brando Badolla pressured the ball and forced a turnover that Youssef Shafei collected and placed a shot into the lower left corner of the goal past Euan Brindley
  • The Lancers took a 2-0 advantage in the 22nd minute as Shafei and Badolla played a little 1-2 through the Eagle defense as Bedolla finished with a shot to the lower left corner
  • That was how the first half finished as the Lancers held a two goal lead at the break
  • Winthrop finally broke through in the 67th minute as Baden found Jorge Perez in the box and he finished to the lower right corner past Nicholas Pucci
  • Lancers regained the two goal lead in the 81st minute as Vicent Martinez scored from a shot inside the box
  • Winthrop got one right back in the 84th minute as Daniel Restrepo played a pass in front of goal and Baden finished into the lower left corner
  • Longwood added an insurance goal late as Bedolla's free kick from just outside the edge of the 18 found the lower left corner for a 4-2 lead
