Men’s Tennis Looks to Snap Skid, Hosts Coastal Carolina

EAGLE UPDATE
  • Winthrop's James Hartson won his first collegiate singles match over Alexander Zuckerman last Sunday.
  • Connor Williamson is finding his rhythm winning two of his last three singles matches.
  • Abhimanyu Vannemreddy continues to develop at the No. 1 singles spot.  The freshman is 3-3 on the season at the top of the Eagles lineup.
  • The team of Lluis Miralles and Miha Velicki are now 2-4 at No. 1 singles on the season.
 
CHANTICLEER REPORT
  • Coastal Carolina enters Saturday 2-1 on the season.
  • The Chants No. 1 doubles pairing of Joel Popov and Zack Talic are 2-0 on the season.
  • Talic also features at No. 1 singles and is 1-2 in 2020.
  • Coach Chris Powers enters his 16th season as head coach at Coastal Carolina.  Prior to becoming head coach, Powers served as an assistant.
  • Coastal Carolina finished 16-8 in 2019 after a 2018 campaign where they struggled to a 6-15 record.
