Williamsburg, Va.—Winthrop women's tennis battled but fell 5-2 at William & Mary, Sunday morning at the McCormack-Nagelsen Tennis Center.

- The Tribe took the doubles point winning and No.1 and No. 3
- Alexandra Ferreira da Dilva and Tayla Van Eck won quickly at No. 2 doubles, but William & Mary battled to take the other two to earn the point
- Alisa Soloveva bounced back from her loss at Wake Forest to defeat Natalia Perry in straight sets
- Ferreira da Silva dropped the first set 6-0 but shook it off and took the second set 6-2 before falling in a hard fought match at No. 4 singles
- Tayla Van Eck earned Winthrop's second point as she fell 6-2 in the first before taking the second 7-5 and winning a tie break (10-8) in the third
