Vannemreddy Named Big South Player of the Week

.Rock Hill, S.C. – Abhi Vannemreddy came to Winthrop with high expectations, and the freshman delivered in his first match as an Eagle. After winning in both singles and doubles play, Vannemreddy has been named Big South Player of the Week.

To open the day against Davidson, Vannemreddy delivered a win at No. 2 doubles with partner James Hartson, 6-4. He followed up the doubles win with a win at No. 1 singles (6-7, 6-4, 7-6).

Vannemreddy and the Eagles are back in action Saturday, January 25 when they take on Queens in Charlotte.
