ESPNU WILD CARD: Eagles Will Host Campbell Feb. 6 On ESPNU

Rock Hill, S.C.ESPNU has selected the upcoming Campbell at Winthrop men's basketball game scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 6 for its third Big South Wildcard broadcast of the 2019-20 season, announced by the league office Monday morning.
 
This will be the second straight season and second time in three meetings that Campbell and Winthrop meet on ESPNU. These two teams met on ESPNU in Buies Creek, NC on Jan. 10, 2019 as the Eagles held on for a 90-86 win.
 
Winthrop enters tonight's contest at Radford with a perfect mark in the league at 5-0 while Campbell is sitting at 2-4 in the league is on the road at Presbyterian College Monday night. Prior to Monday's games the Eagles and Camels are tied for the most overall wins among the league members with 11. It will be the second meeting of the season as the Eagles earned an 87-72 win at Campbell on Jan. 4 behind 59 percent shooting for the game.
 
Winthrop will host a Big South ESPNU broadcast for the fifth time and will make its ninth appearance in the Wildcard series (5-3).  Campbell will appear for the seventh time overall (2-5 record).

This is the seventh year of the Big South's ESPNU Wildcard series, which features six Thursday broadcasts -- Jan. 16 (Charleston Southern at Campbell), Jan. 30 (USC Upstate at Presbyterian), Feb. 6 (Campbell at Winthrop), Feb. 13, Feb. 20 and Feb. 27 -- that are selected 14-21 days in advance.  A total of 23 games have been played in the series that began in 2013-14, and while the home teams are 17-7, the 24 games have been decided by an average of 8.54 points, with 15 of those being decided by single-digits.
