ROCK HILL, S.C. — Winthrop Athletics unveiled its new branding campaign – Ever Stand – Monday. 
 
The newly-designed Ever Stand campaign will be visible on merchandise, signage, print materials, Winthrop Athletics social media platforms, and other mediums. 
 
The campaign stems from the last two words of the university's alma mater, written by Winthrop alumni Donna C. Durst '87, and Lisa Breland Spangler '87. The Alma Mater is played and sang after several of our home games and events. The campaign will be used to promote what the athletics department "stands for" in its core values of diversity, results, integrity, vision, and excellence, as written in the Winthrop Athletics Strategic Plan.  It also serves as a call to action to Winthrop donors, alumni, and fans to show their commitment to what they stand for and how they support Winthrop student-athletes each day through their generosity and fandom.
 
While the Ever Stand campaign will be a visible part of the department moving forward, it will not replace the current "Rock the Hill" slogan, and instead accompany it.
 
"We believe these two brands go hand-in-hand, with 'Rock the Hill' remaining as a rallying cry for our teams and fans on game day, and 'Ever Stand' symbolizing the everyday sense of pride for what it means to be a Winthrop Eagle," Matt Martin, Associate Athletic Director of External Operations, said.
