ROCK HILL, S.C. – Winthrop women's tennis (12-7, 8-0 Big South) travels to face Charleston Southern (8-9, 5-3 Big South) in its final regular season match, looking to complete Big South play undefeated for a second-straight year.

EAGLE HIGHLIGHTS 
-Junior Alisa Soloveva has extended her career-long winning streak to 16 matches. An impressive 13 of the 16 wins in the streak have come in straight-sets.
 
-Soloveva (17) and No. 51 Lauren Proctor (16) own the most overall singles wins in the Big South Conference.
 
-At 8-0 in Big South play, Proctor has beaten each of her league opponents in straight-sets while allowing no league opponent more than three games in one set. Against her Big South foes, Proctor has posted five 6-0 shutout sets.
 
-Winthrop boasts five players in its singles line-up with an undefeated conference record. No other league player is undefeated.
 
-Winthrop has won 16-consecutive Big South regular-season matches. The Eagles' last conference loss was the final match of the 2017 season, a 4-3 loss to Charleston Southern, giving Winthrop a 7-1 conference record that year.
 
-Winthrop is in first place in the Big South Conference with an undefeated 8-0 record and has clinched at least a share of the regular season conference title. With a win over CSU, the Eagles would claim the title outright.
 
-Four Eagles boast double-digit singles victories as Ellie Burns (13) and Rafaela Santos (12) join Proctor and Soloveva in the category.
 
-The Eagles' doubles lineup has remained consistent this season, with only three combinations taking the court: No. 56 Megan Kauffman/Lauren Proctor at the first position (13-5, 7-1), Rafaela Santos/Alisa Soloveva (5-6, 3-0) at court two and Ellie Burns/Tayla van Eck (12-5, 7-1) on court three.
 
-No. 56 Kauffman and Proctor are coming off a big win over the ninth-ranked doubles duo in the country in NC State's Anna Rogers and Alana Smith, a 7-5 win Sunday that clinched the team doubles point for Winthrop.

THE MATCH-UP
-CSU enters Wednesday's match after two nonconference losses to Delaware and Tulane. In Big South action the Bucs have won two-straight matches, both road contests, and own a 5-3 record overall.
 
-CSU's Madalina Man owns a 7-1 conference record and recently climbed the lineup from No. 2 to No. 1. Man will likely face off with nationally ranked Proctor at in the top singles position as well as court one doubles.

NATIONAL RANKINGS
In the latest ITA/Oracle Division I National Rankings released Apr. 2, Megan Kauffman and Lauren Proctor are at No. 56 in the nation in the doubles rankings, while Proctor is No. 51 in the singles list. 

UP NEXT
Winthrop has clinched the No. 1 seed in next week's Big South Conference Championship, hosted at Radford University. The Eagles' first match will be in the quarterfinals on Wed., Apr. 17 at 9 a.m. against the first round winner of the No. 8/No. 9 seed match-up.
