ROCK HILL, S.C. – Winthrop women's tennis hosts a pair of home matches this weekend, taking on Furman on Sat., Mar. 16 at 1 p.m. and conference foe Longwood on Sun., Mar. 17 at 1 p.m.

EAGLE HIGHLIGHTS 
-Junior Alisa Soloveva currently owns an eight-match winning streak, a career-long. She has earned Big South Player of the Week honors twice this season.

-No. 53 Lauren Proctor and Soloveva each boast 9-1 overall singles records.

-Winthrop is off to an undefeated start to conference play, putting up four-straight wins, including two 7-0 sweeps.  

THE MATCH-UPS
-Furman opened the spring season with a 7-0 sweep of Elon, and also has two Big South wins under its belt this season in Charleston Southern and USC Upstate.
 
-The Paladins' Katarina Kozarov is No. 50 in the nation in the latest rankings, which will make for an exciting singles match at the No. 1 position with the Eagles' No. 53 Proctor. Furman's Madison Dillon also entered the latest rankings at No. 123.
 
-Sunday's match will serve as the conference opener for Longwood after the Lancers' originally scheduled opener with Gardner-Webb was postponed. The Lancers will be coming off a Saturday road match at NC A&T in Greensboro, N.C.

NATIONAL RANKINGS
In the latest ITA/Oracle Division I National Rankings released Mar. 5, Megan Kauffman and Lauren Proctor are at No. 33 in the nation in the doubles rankings, while Proctor is No. 53 in the singles list. 

UP NEXT
The Eagles will play three matches next week, taking on Gardner-Webb in Big South action at Rock Hill Tennis Center on Wed., Mar. 20, then playing two-straight road matches on Fri., Mar. 22 against Hampton and facing ODU on Sat., Mar. 23.
