EAGLE HIGHLIGHTS
-Senior
Aditya Gokhale posted a 6-0, 6-0 shutout win over NC A&T's Jordan Lawrence at the No. 5 position.
-Junior
Gabriel Dias has displayed his trademark resilience already this season, pushing his first two matches to three sets after falling in the first set, going 1-1 in those matches at the No. 2 position. Dias also won a third-set tiebreaker match against NC A&T's Vasil Ivanov.
-Senior
Diego Quiroz and junior
Connor Williamson are 3-1 at the No. 1 doubles position. Quiroz and Williamson went 3-3 in six matches played together in 2018.
THE MATCH-UPS
-Wofford is 1-3 to start the season with road losses to Wake Forest and UNC of the ACC, as well as Richmond. The Terriers earned their lone win over Bucknell in a match played in Chapel Hill, N.C. Friday's match will be the Terriers' first at home in Spartanburg.
-Wofford and Winthrop last faced off in 2017, a 4-3 victory for the Terriers.
-Hampton is entering its first season as a new member of the Big South Conference, playing its first league match against Winthrop Sunday, also just its second match of the spring season after falling 7-0 to Richmond on Jan. 27.
