TULSA, Okla. – Winthrop women's tennis senior
Alisa Soloveva represented the Eagles nationally for the second-consecutive weekend, playing in the pre-qualifying rounds of the 2019 ITA All-American Championships at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on Saturday.

The Winthrop exercise science major defeated Catherine Gulihur of Oklahoma State in the first round of pre-qualifying, 6-3, 6-4 to advance. Soloveva faced Princeton's Zoe Howard in the next round, the 13
th seed in pre-qualifying. Howard came away with a 6-1, 6-0 win.

Next up in the fall season, select Eagles will compete at the Charlotte 49er Invite in Charlotte, N.C. Oct. 11-13 before the Eagles turn their attention to the ITA Carolina Regional Championship, hosted by Wake Forest University Oct. 24-28.
