ROCK HILL, S.C. - Winthrop men's tennis (9-6, 5-0 Big South Conference) is set to host Charlotte (10-13, 1-2 C-USA) on Fri., Apr. 6 at 3 p.m. at Rock Hill Tennis Center. Senior Day ceremonies for Joshua Ryan and Tremayne Mitchell will begin at approximately 2:45 p.m. before the match.

EAGLE HIGHLIGHTS
-Winthrop has won five-consecutive matches and is also off to a 5-0 start in Big South play with victories over Gardner-Webb, UNC Asheville, Longwood, Campbell and Radford. Since dropping a tough 6-0 loss to Ga. Southern on Feb. 25, Winthrop has bounced back to win eight of nine matches over the past month, including its 5-0 start in the league. 

-Senior Tremayne Mitchell  has won nine-straight singles matches and has a team-leading 12 singles victories on the season, which is a new career-high. His 12-3 overall record (.800) ranks second in the Big South Conference.

-Gabriel Dias and Joshua Ryan are an undefeated 9-0 at the No. 3 doubles position, the best record in the Big South Conference at court three.

-Senior Joshua Ryan has won three of his last four singles matches.

-Junior Aditya Gokhale has won two-consecutive matches after entering the singles lineup due to injuries.

-Sophomore Connor Williamson has won three-consecutive singles matches, all in straight-sets.

THE MATCH-UPS
Charlotte's season includes wins over common opponents Elon and Georgia Southern. The 49ers also notched a 4-3 win over Presbyterian, who the Eagles will face in their final conference match on Thurs., Apr. 12.

UP NEXT
The Eagles are on the road on Sun., Apr. 8 at Liberty at 12 p.m. in a crucial Big South face-off as the Flames are the only other undefeated team in league play.
