LAST TIME OUT
The Eagles earned a 4-3 win over Georgia State in Atlanta on Saturday for the squad's sixth-straight victory.

AN EYE ON THE BULLDOGS 
Gardner-Webb is 1-5 on the season, with its lone win coming against Limestone. Wednesday's match will be the conference opener for the Runnin' Bulldogs, who were predicted to finish sixth in the Big South by the league's coaches.

The Eagles' six-match road stretch continues Friday at College of Charleston at 2:30 p.m., a make-up of a weather-delayed match earlier this season, and Sunday at Wake Forest at 10 a.m. 

PRESEASON FAVORITE
The Winthrop women's tennis team has been predicted to finish first in the Big South Conference by the league's coaches, receiving all but one of the first-place votes. This year's selection marks the 15th consecutive year Winthrop has been voted the preseason favorite by the coaches. Winthrop won the league title last season, the program's 19th conference championship overall.

HISTORIC NATIONAL RANKING
Junior Lauren Proctor is ranked No. 23 in the Oracle/ITA Division I Women's National Singles Rankings, a slight drop from her previous-high ranking of No. 14. She is currently the only student-athlete nationally ranked from the Big South Conference.  Proctor had a history-making fall season, winning the ITA Carolinas Regional title for the first time in program history.
