ROCK HILL, S.C. – Winthrop men's tennis (4-6, 2-0 Big South) fell 5-2 on the road at Elon (7-5) Saturday afternoon.
Elon clinched the match with the doubles points and three early singles matches on courts two, six and one. The Eagles would continue to fight, coming back from first set losses to win on courts three and four.
NOTABLES

Tremayne Mitchell battled back from being down match points in the second set to come back and win 7-5 and force a third-set tiebreaker, which he would go on to win 10-7. Mitchell has won four-consecutive matches.
-Sophomore
Connor Williamson earned the Eagles' second point of the afternoon with a three-set victory on court three, his second-straight win.
UP NEXT
The Eagles continue Big South play on the road this weekend with matches at Radford and Longwood. Winthrop will take on Radford on Sat., Mar. 17 at 12 p.m. and Longwood on Sun., Mar. 18 at 12 p.m.
