ROCK HILL, S.C. – Playing on their home courts for the first time this season was a welcome treat for Winthrop men's tennis (1-4) as they defeated NC A&T (0-8) 6-1 at Rock Hill Tennis Center Saturday afternoon. 

Two singles matches went to a third-set tiebreak, but the Eagles did not give up more than three games in any other set in the dominant performance.

NOTABLES
- Three players, Gabriel Dias, Joshua Ryan and Connor Williamson, each recorded their first singles court win of the season.  
- Dias has won three-straight doubles matches in the three position, one with partner Tremayne Mitchell and the past two with Ryan.
- Today's singles win is the third-straight for Diego Quiroz, all at court one.

UP NEXT
The Eagles have a quick turnaround with another home match Sun., Feb. 25 at 10 a.m. against Georgia Southern. The start time is earlier than the originally published 11 a.m. due to forecasted inclement weather.
